Ahead of its release on March 19, Shahid.net has released the main poster and trailer for the upcoming family-comedy film A’az El Weld. The film is a co-production between Lagoonie Film Production, The Producers, and Taher Media Production.

A comedy-action film, A’az El Weld follows four sweet grandmothers whose lives are centered on cooking recipes, charity, perhaps some plastic surgeries or reliving the memories of the past. However, when their grandchildren are kidnapped for ransom, the grandmothers turn into a fierce squad, banding together to stand up to the gang and save their dearest grandchildren.

Standing out from other Egyptian films, A’az El Weld is a film for viewers of all ages, where it introduces a unique adventure by grandmothers and their relationships with their grandchildren. The film stars Mervat Amin, Dalal Abdel Aziz, Shereen, Enaam Salousa and late actress Ragaa Al-Gidawy, in her last cinematic appearance.

The film also features a special appearance by several guest stars like Mona Zaki, Amr Youssef, Amr Salama, Amina Khalil, Arwa Gouda, Tamer Habib, Mohamed Shahin, Riham Abdel Ghafour and Mahmoud Ellithy.

A’az El Weldmarks director Sarah Nouh debut film. It is written by Sherief Nagib (La Tarago Wa La Esteslam/ Kalb Balady) and George Azmy (Khair wa Barakah).
