Production giants Lagoonie Film Production and Rise Studios have just released the official teaser trailer for their highly-anticipated drama A NOSE AND THREE EYES, coinciding with the film’s world premiere at the Red Sea International Film Festival (RSIFF).
The teaser trailer depicts Tunisian actor Dhaffer L'Abidine — who plays Dr. Hashem, the film’s protagonist — as we see him go through his various relationships, breaking them off one by one as soon as he feels any minor discomfort.
On his journey to getting to the root of the problem, his therapist Dr. Aliaa — portrayed by Saba Mubarak — explains to him that his real problem is the way he thinks, which often leads him to relationships that are doomed to begin with, which we then explore through a variety of scenes with Salma Abu Deif, Amina Khalil, and Nora Cheichaa, with the teaser ending with a beautiful female voice humming the classic song BENY W BENAK EIH in the background.
The film’s teaser was released in parallel with the RSIFF’s opening ceremony in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, where it will continue to run till December 9th. The film is set to screen twice throughout the Saudi festival — once on Wednesday, December 6th, at 9:35 pm at the Grand Ballroom Hall (Ritz-Carlton), and the second on Friday, December 8th, at 7:50 pm at VOX Hall 1 (Red Sea Mall).
The film is a modern adaptation of Ihsan Abdel-Quddous' novel of the same name, which was first made into a feature film in 1972. Lagoonie Film Production, in association with Rise Studios, is expected to release it later this year with high hopes for critical acclaim following its world premiere as part of the RSIFF’s Arab Spectacular Program.
A NOSE AND THREE EYES follows Doctor Hashem — a renowned plastic surgeon in his mid-40s who remains single despite having been in two long-term relationships before.
However, when he meets Ruba — a woman who is 25 years his junior — he finds himself unable to resist her charms and allure despite the age gap.
Directed by Amir Ramsis and written for the screen by Wael Hamdy, A NOSE AND THREE EYES boasts an ensemble cast that includes Dhaffer L'Abidine, Saba Mubarak, Salma Abudeif, Sedky Sakhr, Gihan El-Shamashergy, Nora Cheichaa, Salwa Mohamed Ali, Nabil Maher, and Selim Mostafa — the child celebrity who won audiences' hearts in the role of Younis in WHY NOT? — as well as Amina Khalil, who will be appearing as a guest of honor.
