Lagoonie Film Production Announces Starting Shooting Ra's El Sana

Lagoonie Film Production has currently started shooting its upcoming film production Ra's El Sana (New Year's Eve). Headlined by a number of A-list stars, the film is a co-production between Lagoonie Film Production and Film Clinic.

Written by writer/producer Mohamed Hefzy, Ra's El Sana (New Year's Eve) is the debut film for director Mohamed Ahmed Sakr. The film stars Ahmed Malek, Eyad Nassar, Shereen Reda, Basma, Ingy El Mokadem, Huda El Mufti, and Sally Abed.

Lagoonie Film Production's repertoire of works include several successful co-productions, including: the short film Fork and Knife, which is currently competing within the Short Films Competition at the 2nd edition of El Gouna Film Festival, the TV series Ana Shahira.. Ana El Kha'en by writer Noor Abdulmajeed, and season two of the TV social drama Seventh Neighbor.

Most recently, Lagoonie Film Production presented its monetary award of €5000 to the feature film project Certified Mail by director Hisham Saqr at the Final Cut in Venice workshop that was held within the Venice Film Festival.

Lagoonie Film Production is an Egyptian film production company established by Producer Shahinaz Elakkad in 2017. The company aims to develop the film and TV industry in Egypt and the Arab world through making international films and TV series that bring forth new non-mainstream topics and untapped themes to help in boosting the presence of Arab cinema and TV industry on the international filmmaking map.
